WHO THIS IS FOR

This conversation is for people who feel the ground shifting beneath them.

Some of you feel it politically.
Some of you feel it astrologically.
Most of you feel it in your body.

This is not for people looking to “escape overnight” or chase a fantasy version of life abroad.

This is for people who are asking serious questions like:

  • I do not feel safe long-term in the U.S. What are my options?
  • I cannot just pick up and leave. I have kids, shared custody, aging parents, or financial constraints.
  • I do not work remotely. Does that automatically disqualify me?
  • I want a backup plan for my children or grandchildren, even if I stay for now.
  • I keep feeling a pull to move, but I do not trust Instagram or relocation hype.

This is about realistic movement, not dramatic exits.

WHY I AM HOSTING THIS

This was my first time ever leaving the country.

Not a vacation.
Not a scouting trip with rose-colored glasses.
A real move, with real logistics, fear, money questions, and cultural learning curves.

I will share:

  • What I wish I had known before leaving
  • What I would do differently if I were starting today
  • The emotional and psychological shifts no one talks about
  • Why Salvador made sense for me, even though it is not on most Black expat lists
  • What “safety” actually looks like in practice, not headlines

This is not advice from theory. It is a lived experience.

WHY SALVADOR, BAHIA

I will talk honestly about why Salvador works for me and why it may or may not work for you.

We will cover:

  • Cost of living (with nuance, not averages pulled from blogs)
  • Culture, race, and visibility as a Black person
  • Language realities and how long it actually takes to function
  • Community versus isolation
  • What surprised me in good ways and hard ways

Salvador is not perfect. That is part of why it is worth discussing honestly.

FOR THOSE WHO FEEL “STUCK”

A large part of this event is dedicated to people who feel like leaving is impossible.

We will address:

  • Not having remote work
  • Shared custody and co-parenting limitations
  • Aging parents and caretaking responsibilities
  • Financial fear and starting later in life
  • The difference between moving and positioning

Leaving does not always mean leaving immediately.
Sometimes it means creating options without panic.

THE ASTROLOGICAL UNDERCURRENT

We will not ignore the timing.

Many people are not reacting only to politics.
They are responding to cycles, pressure, and endings they cannot explain logically.

We will talk about:

  • Why so many people feel urgency right now
  • Why “waiting it out” feels impossible for some
  • How astrology reflects collective displacement and relocation themes
  • How to listen without making impulsive decisions

This is not predictive. It is contextual.

FORMAT

  • Short opening context from me
  • Live Q&A (this is the core)
  • Space for uncomfortable but necessary questions
  • No sales pitch
  • No pressure to move
  • No pretending this is easy

WHAT THIS IS NOT

  • Not a visa workshop
  • Not legal advice
  • Not a relocation fantasy seminar
  • Not a promise that Brazil or anywhere else will “save” you

This is about agency, timing, and informed movement.
